Step 1
Basically I Open Photoshop and drag and drop the Female Head Skin template... Go ahead and zoom in on the eye to make it easier to work.
Step 2
Create a new layer and set the paintbrush tool to a medium sized soft round brush. Pick a light shade of the color you want and paint your over the entire eyelid. Don't worry about getting color on the eyelashes or anywhere else, we can erase it later.
Step 3
Make another layer and choose a new color that is slightly darker than the base color. Paint beneath the brow bone and on the outer side of the eyelid.
Step 4
Create another layer and choose another color slightly darker and use a smaller soft round brush to paint eyeliner on the lash line.
Step 5
Add blur to each layer of color by going to Filer - Blur - Gaussian Blur and applying enough blur that the color blend together continuously. The amount of blur I used was (in order of each layer) 8, 8.7, 3.2
Step 6
Combine all the layers of the eyeshadow color into one. Hide the skin layer then click Layers - Merge Visible Now you have one layer with three shades of color. Change the blending mode of this layer to "Color". Then Unhide the Skin Layer
Step 7
Choose the Eraser Tool and use a soft round brush set to an Opacity of 50% to erase any stray color on the eyelashes or anywhere else.
Step 8
Duplicate the eyeshadow layer and drag it to the top of Photoshops Layers Palette. Set the layer's blending mode to "Multiply". Then use the Eraser Tool set to an Opacity of 30% and a large soft round brush, the height of most of the eyelid, and erase a circular area of the eyeshadow between the center of the eyelid and the innermost side of the lid. This will give the makeup a highlight, creating more shine and dimension.
Then duplicate the bottom eyeshadow layer again and drag it to the top of the Layers Palette. Set the blending mode to "Overlay" and the Opacity to 50%.
Step 10
Create a new layer and choose a very light shade of the color you've been using. Change the size of the Paintbrush tool to a smaller round brush and the Opacity to 50%, and paint between the existing eyeshadow and the eyebrow, creating a highlight on the brow bone.
Step 11
Add a Gaussian Blur to the brow bone layer. I did 2.5.... then erase any part of the brow bone highlight layer that may have covered the eye brow.
Step 12
To give it a sparkly metallic glow, duplicate the main eyeshadow layer and click Filters - Noise - Add Noise and set it to "Monochromatic" and make it look sparkly. I used 135%.
Then set the Opacity of the layer to 35% and the blending mode to "Screen". erase the darker areas of the noise (the outer area usually)
Step 13
Here I create a black Background layer and set it 1 above the skin layer so that I can see if there is any stray color I need to erase due to the blur.... once youve erased any stray color delete the black layer.
Step 14
Hide the skin layer and again Click Layer - Merge Visible, then unhide the skin layer.... Right click the merged layers and then duplicate the layer. Select the duplicate, click Edit - Transform - Flip Horizontal, Select the move tool and place the makeup on the other eye.
Here is the finished result.... If I was going to sell this I would go back and edit the placement of the make up so that it fits better, but you get the idea
Anyway, I hope this was helpful for at least one person
